Community Involvement
Jim is an active member of the local Boulder chapter of The Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The I.O.O.F., a fraternal organization established in England during the Industrial Revolution, was founded to provide social, educational and monetary assistance to miners and their dependents. The lodges became the social core for many mining communities, providing needed services often lacking in the rustic and booming west. The symbol of the order are three overlapping links, signifying friendship, love, and truth. The I.O.O.F. in Boulder is located at one of the many historic buildings on Pearl Street. The Boulder chapter is a major supporter of the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless. Jim Zoller is proud to be part of an organization that represents the values of the local community while tying in the unique historical roots of this area.
The vocation of the YMCA is to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Jim Zoller contributes to this mission by coaching youth hockey at the YMCA of Boulder Valley. He sees the value of the goal of the YMCA first hand because his son, Jesse is on the hockey team. Jim Zoller is committed to participating in the strengthening of his family and the community.
